Two Die in Fatal Austin Motorcycle Crash, Roberto Rangel Arrested

 
AUSTIN, TX (December 20, 2022) Austin-Travis County EMS pronounced 23-year-old Mark Navaez and a female passenger dead after a motorcycle crash in the 500 block of Ben White Boulevard on December 18.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened near St. David’s South Austin Medical Center at approximately 2:45 AM.
 
Based on a report, 51-year-old Roberto Rangel was driving a truck on the road and failed to yield right of way while exiting a parking lot. Subsequently, Navaez crashed into his vehicle.
 
As a result, Navaez and his female passenger died at the scene.
 
Police said they charged Rangel with two counts of intoxication manslaughter.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation.
