Marilyn Salzman Killed in City Bus Crash in Greeley
GREELEY, CO (September 2, 2024) — 59-year-old Marilyn Marie Salzman, of Greeley, died in a city bus accident on Thursday, August 15.
According to the Greeley Police Department, the accident happened at around 5:35 p.m. at the intersection of 71st Avenue and West 4th Street. They said a sedan crashed with a Greeley-Evans Transit bus.
Paramedics transported both occupants of the sedan to the hospital. Salzman, who was a passenger in the sedan, died shortly after arrival.
Meanwhile, the driver, identified only as an 18-year-old woman, received treatment for minor injuries.
The bus driver and the one passenger inside the bus were not hurt, police said.
There are no reports yet on what factors may have caused the collision.
