LAVEEN VILLAGE, AZ (November 13, 2024) – Authorities identified 35-year-old Marche Mercado who died in a pedestrian accident on 51st Avenue on October 27.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Baseline Road. Based on a report, Mercado was crossing 51st Avenue mid-block at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, a vehicle driving south struck her.
 
As a result, Mercado suffered grave injuries in the incident. First responders took her to the hospital, where she later died.
 
The driver involved in the crash remained on the scene.
