Marceliano Herrera Run Over and Killed by Girlfriend on 17 Freeway at Thunderbird Road in Phoenix

 
PHOENIX, AZ (June 13, 2023) – The Phoenix Police Department identified 29-year-old Marceliano Herrera who died in an accident on 17 Freeway on June 10.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Thunderbird Road around 9:30 PM. Based on a report, Herrera was holding on to the passenger door handle of a vehicle prior to the crash. At that point, his girlfriend was attempting to leave.
 
Due to unknown reasons, Herrera fell and his girlfriend ran him over. She immediately stopped, called 911, and tried to provide medical aid.
 
As a result, Herrera sustained grave injuries and died at the hospital.
 
The driver did not show any signs of impairment.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
