Marc La Brack Dead after Tucson Motorcycle Accident

TUCSON, AZ (December 12, 2024) — A 60-year-old man identified as Marc Ian La Brack died in a motorcycle accident on Tuesday, December 3.

According to the Tucson Police Department, the accident occurred at about 4:40 p.m. at East Broadway Boulevard and North Venice Stravenue.

During the investigation, detectives determined that La Brack rode a motorcycle westbound on Broadway Boulevard faster than the posted 35 mph. Then he hit a 2023 Subaru Forester traveling eastbound on Broadway that tried to turn left onto North Venice.

Tucson Police said La Brack suffered life-threatening injuries. Emergency responders brought him to St. Joseph’s Hospital, where medical officers pronounced him dead.

The Subaru driver, only identified as a 61-year-old woman, did not sustain any injuries. She stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. In addition, an officer from the DUI Unit arrived and determined she was not under the influence.

Detectives listed the contributing factors as high speed and the motorcyclist possibly traveling in the bus lane. They also added failure to yield while making a left turn by the Subaru.

The investigation is still ongoing. As of writing, there were no issued citations or charges.
