Manuel Sanchez Identified in Fatal Semi-Truck Crash in Tucson

 
TUCSON, AZ (July 11, 2023) – The Tucson Police Department identified 21-year-old Manuel Abel Sanchez who died in a head-on crash on Golf Links Road on June 30.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Wilmot Road around 10:30 PM. Based on a report, Sanchez was speeding down Golf Links at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, he lost control and hit an 18-wheeler head-on.
 
As a result, Sanchez sustained grave injuries and died at the scene. Police said he was not wearing a seatbelt and did not have a driver’s license at that time.
 
The driver of the 18-wheeler was not impaired.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
