19-Year-Old David Cochrane Killed, Joshua Apodaca Arrested in Motorcycle Crash on 34th Street [Lubbock, TX]

LUBBOCK, TX (July 11, 2023) – The Lubbock Police Department identified 19-year-old David Cochrane who died in a motorcycle crash on 34th Street on July 2.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Quaker Avenue. Based on the report, Cochrane was traveling north on Quaker Avenue prior to the crash.
 
At the same time, 28-year-old Joshua Apodaca was traveling south on the road. Due to unknown reasons, Apocada hit Cochrane.
 
As a result, Cochrane suffered serious injuries in the incident. Crews transported him to University Medical Center, where he later died.
 
LPD took Apodaca into police custody in connection with the crash.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
