Man Working on Disabled Vehicle Dies on Interstate 15

 
HALLORAN SPRINGS, CA (February 2, 2023) — A man working on a disabled semi tractor-trailer was killed after being struck by another semi on 15 Freeway on Friday morning, January 27.

The fatal incident occurred near Halloran Springs Road at around 4:08 a.m., according to California Highway Patrol.

Authorities said the man worked on the right shoulder of I-15, where the disabled semi tractor-trailer — which hauled about 43,000 pounds of glass — was parked.

For unknown reasons, another semi tractor-trailer hauling paper products crashed into the rear end of the disabled vehicle.

The force of impact inflicted fatal injuries to the male victim, who died at the scene.

Meanwhile, the driver involved survived but ended up in serious condition.

The cause and factors behind the accident remain under investigation. However, no other information is available at this time.
