Man Killed, Several Injured in Four-Vehicle Accident on South Nellis Boulevard [Las Vegas, NV]

LAS VEGAS, NV (July 12, 2024) — A man suffered fatal injuries after a four-vehicle accident on South Nellis Boulevard on Monday, June 25.
 
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police, the collision happened at around 8:56 a.m. on South Nellis Boulevard, south of East Desert Inn Road.
 
Investigators determined that a 2021 Kia K5 traveled north on Nellis Boulevard at a high rate of speed. At the same time, a 2020 Honda Civic moved north on Nellis. Meanwhile, a 2019 Ram 2500 pickup truck moved south, and a 2012 Lexus was stopped in a private drive.
 
The Lexus then turned right onto the northbound Nellis and attempted to enter the far-left lane. The Lexus slammed into the Kia. After that, the Kia spun out and collided with the Honda.
 
Then the Kia kept going and crossed the median. It resulted in it crashing into the Ram in the opposite lane.
 
Paramedics transported the driver of the Kia to Sunrise Hospital, where he later died. Authorities only identified him as a 21-year-old man.
 
Police said emergency responders brought a driver and passenger each from the Ram pickup truck and Honda to Sunrise Hospital via ambulance. The driver of the Lexus went to a medical center on their own.
