FLORENCE, CO (July 12, 2024) — One person died in a pedestrian accident on Highway 115 on Wednesday, June 26.
 
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the pedestrian accident took place on Highway 115 near Highway 120 just before 6:30 a.m.
 
CSP troopers responded to the scene and discovered that the incident involved a pedestrian and a truck.
 
The Colorado Department of Transportation closed Highway 115 at the junction with Highway 120 at around 8:00 a.m. They urged motorists to avoid the area and look for alternate routes. All closed lanes reopened at about 10:00 a.m.
