Man Struck and Killed by Vehicle on 10 Freeway in Houston

 
HOUSTON, TX (August 29, 2024) – The Houston Police Department confirmed that a man died in a pedestrian accident on 10 Freeway on August 10.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Federal Road just after midnight. Based on a report, a driver did not see the man standing in the middle of two lanes.
 
At that point, the driver hit the victim and abruptly stopped. This action caused another car to slam into the back of her car.
 
As a result, the pedestrian suffered grave injuries and died in the incident. Authorities did not release the victim’s name, pending kin notification.
 
In addition, the driver who hit the victim was also hurt in the second crash. At least five people inside the second vehicle also sustained injuries. Emergency crews transported all victims to the hospital for treatment.
 
Investigators said they’re trying to determine why the man was in the middle of the road.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
