Man Struck and Killed by Hit-and-Run Vehicle in Nacogdoches

 
NACOGDOCHES, TX (March 16, 2023) – Nacogdoches Police confirmed that a man died in a hit-and-run in the 5000 block of South Street on March 13.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened outside Loop 224 around 11:30 PM. Based on a report, the victim was struck by a vehicle in the lanes.
 
Subsequently, the driver of the vehicle fled the scene, without rendering aid to the victim.
 
As a result, officers arrived and found the man dead at the scene. They did not yet release the victim’s name, pending kin notification.
 
Officers were not yet able to release any leads related to the suspect vehicle.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available at this time.
