Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Hit-and-Run Driver in Harris County

 
HARRIS COUNTY, TX (May 10, 2023) – Harris County sheriff’s deputies confirmed that one person died in a hit-and-run on Wallisville Road on April 30.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Normandy Street around 11:45 PM. Based on a report, a man was standing on Wallisville along the divider line at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, a black pick-up truck heading eastbound struck him. The driver of the pickup truck fled the scene afterward. Witnesses tried to wave down a deputy who was leaving a station, but the deputy also hit the pedestrian who was lying in the roadway.
 
As a result, the man suffered grave injuries and died at the scene.
 
Deputies are looking for surveillance video of the crash. s of now, they ask anyone with information to come forward and to call their dispatch at 713-221-6000.
