Hit-and-Run Driver Charged after Fatal Pedestrian Accident in El Paso

 
EL PASO, TX (November 28, 2022) – Police confirmed that a man died in a pedestrian accident on Mesa Street on November 20.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Kern Drive.
 
Based on a report, the 42 year-old male was in the lanes at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, a vehicle hit him. Subsequently, the El Paso Police Department said the vehicle fled the scene after the accident.
 
As a result, the pedestrian died in the incident. Officials did not release his name, pending kin notification.
 
Later on, police said the driver, a 23 year-old male, returned to the crash site. Officers arrested and charged him with an Accident Involving Death with a bond set at $16,000.
 
As of now, this crash remains under investigation.
