Fatal Crash on 20 Freeway at South Center Street in Arlington

 
ARLINGTON, TX (February 9, 2023) Arlington police confirmed that a 20-year-old man died in a multi-vehicle crash on 20 Freeway on February 4.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at South Center Street at approximately 6:27 PM. Based on a report, the victim was a passenger of an 18-year-old driving a Mustang north on South Center prior to the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, the driver lost control as he was trying to switch lanes. Then, their vehicle crossed over the median and collided with a Silverado and a Lancer before catching fire.
 
As a result, the man died after sustaining grave injuries from the impact. Tarrant County officials did not yet release the victim’s identity.
 
The 18-year-old driver suffered critical injuries in the incident. The drivers of the Silverado and Lancer were not seriously hurt.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
