PHOENIX, AZ (January 6, 2025) — A man sustained injuries in a DUI accident on 40th Street on Monday, December 23.
 
According to Phoenix police, the incident occurred on 40th Street and Camelback Road at about 4:45 p.m.
 
Phoenix police said they responded to the area after they received reports of an injured person in the roadway.
 
When officers arrived at the area, they found the man with serious injuries hit by an alleged DUI driver. Then paramedics brought him to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
 
The man remains hospitalized in stable condition.
 
Police also found a man on scene that they detained for suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
