Two Vehicles Involved in Fatal Head-On Crash on Viking Way Northwest in Poulsbo

 
POULSBO, WA (January 6, 2025) – The Kitsap Sheriff’s Office confirmed that one person died in a head-on crash in the 16200 block of Viking Way Northwest on December 25.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened on Christmas Day around 9:00 AM. Based on a report, the victim was speeding and under the influence at the time of the crash.
 
He crossed into the opposite travel lane to pass a vehicle and crashed head-on into a man and woman in a Toyota SUV who were in their correct lane.
 
As a result, the man suffered grave injuries and died in the incident.
 
The man and woman in the Toyota suffered serious, but not life-threatening injuries. Emergency crews transported them to the hospital for treatment.
 
The roadway was shut down for several hours as crews worked to investigate and eventually clean up the scene of the crash.
 
At this point, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
