THORNTON, CO (February 2, 2024) — One person died in a pedestrian accident on 104th Avenue on Wednesday, January 31.
 
According to the Thornton Police Department, the crash took place near the intersection of eastbound 104th Avenue and Marion Street at around 11:00 a.m.
 
Thornton PD said the pedestrian who died was an adult man. They have not yet released his identity and city of residence.
 
The driver involved stayed on the scene and cooperated with investigators.
 
Officials closed eastbound 104th Avenue at Marion Street. They recommended motorists turn on Washington Street to use 112th or 100th Avenue as alternate routes.
 
The closed road has since reopened.
 
The investigation of the incident is still underway.
