One Dead in Motorcycle Accident on Tropicana Avenue

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (January 27, 2025) — A 36-year-old Las Vegas man died in a motorcycle accident on Tropicana Avenue on Wednesday, January 22.
 
According to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the collision occurred on Tropicana Avenue and Andover Drive on Wednesday morning.
 
LVMPD said the collision occurred when a sedan was turning south onto Andover Drive. At that moment, an eastbound motorcyclist entered the intersection and struck the sedan. Witnesses reported that the motorcyclist accelerated before the impact.
 
Emergency responders arrived and then pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the sedan sustained minor injuries. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
 
Officials stated that they do not suspect impairment as a factor in the crash.
 
Authorities closed Tropicana Avenue and Andover Drive for several hours while investigators examined the scene.
 
The LVMPD continues to investigate the incident.
