PHOENIX, AZ (January 27, 2025) — 38-year-old Andrew Worley died after a hit-and-run on Broadway Road on Tuesday, January 21.
 
According to the Phoenix Police Department, the crash happened near the intersection of Broadway Road and 48th Street at around 2:45 a.m.
 
The preliminary investigations indicate that Worley was crossing Broadway Road mid-block. Then an eastbound vehicle struck him. After that, the driver of the vehicle fled the scene immediately after the collision.
 
Emergency responders arrived and transported Worley to the hospital. However, he succumbed to his injuries while en route.
 
Authorities have not released a description of the suspect vehicle.
 
Officers temporarily closed Broadway Road between 44th Street and 48th Street for several hours during the investigation. They reopened it at around 6:40 a.m.
 
Phoenix police continue to investigate the incident. They urge anyone with information about the crash to contact Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
