Man Hospitalized after Pedestrian Accident on Nellis Boulevard and Desert Inn Road

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (January 3, 2024) — A man sustained injuries in a pedestrian accident on Nellis Boulevard on Saturday, December 21.
 
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the incident happened at about 10:05 p.m. on Nellis Boulevard at Desert Inn Road.
 
LVMPD said a 2017 Cadillac XTS moved north on Nellis Boulevard, approaching Desert Inn Road.
 
At the same time, a 39-year-old man crossed Nellis Boulevard on the south crosswalk. He reportedly crossed against the pedestrian signal.
 
As the Cadillac entered the intersection with a green traffic signal, the pedestrian also walked into the path of the vehicle.
 
The front right of the Cadillac then hit the pedestrian. The impact projected him onto the roadway.
 
Medical personnel brought the pedestrian to Sunrise Hospital in critical condition.
 
Police said the driver of the Cadillac stayed at the scene and did not show any signs of impairment.
