Woman Killed in Car Accident on Lake Mead Boulevard and Mt. Hood Street

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (January 3, 2024) — An 81-year-old woman died in a car accident on Lake Mead Boulevard on Tuesday, December 3.
 
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the collision occurred a little before noon at the intersection of Lake Mead Boulevard and Mt. Hood Street.
 
LVMPD said a 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan moved west on Lake Mead Boulevard. Then it crashed with a 2014 Chevrolet Cruz that entered the intersection against a red traffic signal.
 
Emergency responders brought the passenger in the Chevrolet to UMC Trauma for further medical treatment.
 
Several other parties sustained injuries in the incident. However, they declined further medical attention at the scene.
 
On Thursday, December 12, a representative from the Clark County Coroner’s Office notified the LVMPD that the passenger died at UMC Hospital.
 
The death marks the 154th traffic-related death in the LVMPD jurisdiction this 2024.
 
The incident remains under investigation.
