Luis Muñoz Dies in Dallas Pedestrian Accident on Buckner Boulevard

 
DALLAS, TX (August 4, 2023) – The Dallas Police Department identified 51-year-old Luis Diosdado Muñoz as the ice cream vendor who died in a pedestrian accident in the 1100 block of South Buckner Boulevard on July 26.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened near Loma Garden Street around 8:41 PM. Based on a report, Muñoz was going westbound on Buckner Boulevard at the time of the crash.
 
He was pushing his cart when a southbound gray 2020 Ford F-150 pickup struck him. He was not using a crosswalk at that time.
 
As a result, Muñoz sustained serious injuries in the incident. Crews with the Dallas Fire-Rescue sent him to the hospital, where he later died.
 
The driver of the pickup remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
