Luis Hernandez Identified in Fatal Crash on Highway 395 in Franklin County
FRANKLIN COUNTY, WA (November 2, 2023) – Officers identified Luis Acosta Hernandez of Pasco who died in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 395 on October 19.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened near Vineyard Drive. Based on a report, Hernandez was driving westbound on Vineyard Drive prior to the crash.
At the same time, a 35-year-old Umatilla man was driving a second vehicle northbound on Highway 395. Due to unknown reasons, Hernandez failed to yield and crashed into the second car.
As a result, Hernandez suffered grave injuries and died on scene.
The driver of the second car sustained injuries. Crews transported the victim to a local hospital for his injuries.
At this point, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
