TUCSON, AZ (November 2, 2023) – The Phoenix Police Department identified 86-year-old Joseph Pavlics who died in a pedestrian accident on 43rd Avenue on October 19.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Bell Road. Based on a report, Pavlics was waking near the intersection when he entered the roadway on Bell Road.
 
At that point, a van from a private road hit him.
 
Officers responded and found Pavlics lying in the roadway. As a result, paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene after suffering grave injuries.
 
The vehicle involved in the collision cooperated with investigators.
