Louie Russell Identified in Fatal Chandler Motorcycle Accident

 
CHANDLER, TX (March 10, 2023) – Officials identified 56-year-old Louie Bell Russell of East Texas as the victim who died in a motorcycle accident on Broad Street on March 5.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened just 6.5 miles south of Chandler. Based on a report, Russell was traveling northbound on a Yamaha Virago motorcycle at an unsafe speed prior to the crash.
 
Subsequently, he failed to drive in a single lane around a curve and struck 45-year-old Christian Edgerton’s Kia Optima that was traveling in the southbound lane.
 
As a result, Russell suffered grave injuries and died in the incident.
 
Edgerton was not injured in the crash.
 
As of now, officials continue to investigate the crash. In addition, no other details are available.
