Lori Pollard Struck and Killed by Hit-and-Run Driver on Liberty Expressway at Chaffee Road in El Paso

 
EL PASO, TX (March 7, 2024) – The El Paso Police Department identified 44-year-old Lori Pollard who died in a hit-and-run on Liberty Expressway on February 29.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Chaffee Road around 5:41 AM. Based on a report, a border patrol agent on his way to work saw Pollard’s body in the eastbound lanes of the highway.
 
It was not clear what vehicle hit Pollard but the agent saw a white box truck pull over and leave the scene. The driver of the truck could be a witness to the incident.
 
As a result, emergency crews pronounced Pollard dead at the scene. The victim’s sister said she was diagnosed with a mental illness and didn’t react well to the medication.
 
As of now, the officers are investigating the crash. In addition, no other details are available.
