Linda Reed Struck and Killed by Racing Drivers in Texarkana

 
TEXARKANA, TX (January 17, 2024) – The Texarkana Police Department identified 66-year-old Linda Reed who died in an accident on North Stateline Avenue on December 18.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened near East 9th Street around 7:20 PM. Based on a report, police alleged that 25-year-old Christopher Daniel and 23-year-old Robert Culpepper were racing on the highway at the time of the crash.
 
Police said the duo were driving southbound on Stateline Avenue at an extremely high rate of speed. Subsequently, they hit Reed’s car when she attempted to cross the street.
 
As a result, Reed suffered grave injuries and died at the scene.
 
Officials booked Daniel and Culpepper into the Bi-State Jail and their bonds were set at $1 million each.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
