Lasondra Huggins Killed in Fort Worth Pedestrian Accident

 
FORT WORTH, TX (May 30, 2023) — A woman identified as 47-year-old Lasondra Darnella Huggins of Fort Worth died in a pedestrian accident on Monday, May 22.
 
According to a Fort Worth police officer, they received reports of a crash on McCart Avenue and West Risinger Road just after 11:00 p.m. First responders, MedStar, and the city fire department also arrived at the scene.
 
Police believe Huggins was in a crosswalk at the intersection of southbound McCart Avenue and Garden Springs Drive. She walked east in the crosswalk when a vehicle traveling southbound on McCart Avenue hit her.
 
Paramedics pronounced Huggins dead at the scene.
 
According to police, the suspect driver initially left the scene and then came back to talk to authorities. They did not arrest the driver.
 
Detectives continue to investigate the incident.
