Wooden Planks Fall from Semi-Truck in Accident on 25 Freeway in Weld County
WELD COUNTY, CO (January 22, 2025) – Authorities closed several lanes of the road following a semi-truck accident on 25 Freeway on January 15.
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the accident happened in the morning near Highway 52. Based on a report, the truck was traveling north on the freeway when its haul of wooden planks tumbled onto the roadway.
As a result, as many as 30 vehicles may have hit debris in the incident.
Crews started the cleanup and shut down the northbound lanes north of Highway 52 for the first part of rush hour.
Troopers are now trying to locate any drivers who were involved in the crash. They ask them to contact Colorado State Patrol Dispatch at 970-239-4501 and reference case number 3A250099.
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
