Kyle Dorman Killed Run Over by Pickup Truck in Phoenix

 
PHOENIX, AZ (October 22, 2024) — A 35-year-old man identified as Kyle Dorman died in an accident after an altercation on Saturday, October 5.
 
According to Phoenix police, the incident happened near 35th Avenue and Union Hills Drive shortly after 1:00 am.
 
The initial investigations determined the people who occupied a truck were inside the gas station. When they left, they got into an altercation with another group of people in the parking lot.
 
Then the argument later turned physical. Someone pulled out a gun and shot at the people inside the truck.
 
Dorman, who was part of the group in the parking lot, also pointed a gun at the truck as it began driving away. It was then that the driver ran over Dorman.
 
Officers arrived at the scene and found Dorman lying on the ground. Paramedics transported him to the hospital, where he died.
 
Phoenix police found the truck in the area, not far from the scene. Officers then pulled it over and detained the people inside.
 
Police took the pickup driver into custody. Yet, they released him because his self-defense claim was consistent with the evidence.
 
After officers complete the ongoing investigation, they will decide the final charges.
