Kelsey Harris Identified in Fatal Head-On Crash in Denton County

 
DENTON COUNTY, TX (January 19, 2023) – Officers identified 42-year-old Kelsey Harris of Krum as the victim who died in a head-on crash on East McCart Street on January 8.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened between Denton and Krum around 3:00 PM. Based on a report, Harris was driving an SUV eastbound on the road at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, a pickup truck braked and veered into the eastbound lane to avoid striking stopped traffic. Subsequently, the pickup crashed head-on with Harris SUV.
 
As a result, Harris was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
The driver of the pickup suffered critical injuries. Paramedics transported the victim to a Denton hospital for treatment.
 
Family and friends launched a GoFundMe online fundraiser to help Harris’ family with funeral expenses.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation.
