15-Year-Old Kaydence Withroder Killed after Lubbock Car Accident on Aberdeen Avenue
LUBBOCK, TX (June 10, 2024) — A 15-year-old identified as Kaydence Withroder died in a car accident on Friday, May 24.
According to the Lubbock Police Department, the crash took place in the 6700 block of Aberdeen Avenue near 71st Street shortly after 11:30 p.m.
LPD said Withroder and a 14-year-old rode on top of the bed cover of a pickup truck driven by a 17-year-old boy. Then both passengers fell from the vehicle.
First responders transported Withroder by ambulance to University Medical Center where she died on Monday due to sustained injuries.
Reports said EMS gave medical treatment to the 14-year-old at the scene.
Authorities continue to investigate the accident.
