Two Suffer Injuries, Katherine Cahill Arrested in Napa County DUI Car Crash

 
NAPA COUNTY, CA (September 7, 2022) — Two people suffered injuries in an alleged DUI crash on Silverado Trail and Deer Park Road on Saturday night, August 13.

Authorities also arrested suspected drunk driver Katherine Cahill.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened north of St. Helena around 5:15 p.m. The crash involved two vehicles — a 2020 Jeep Cherokee and a 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe, driven by a 30-year-old Atwater man.

The Jeep – driven by Cahill – was traveling eastbound on Deer Park Road when it ran a stop sign. Then, it slammed into the Chevrolet, which was heading north on Silverado Trail Road.

Authorities said 30-year-old Cahill of Austin, TX was booked into the Napa County jail on suspicion of causing injury by driving under the influence.

The force of impact to the Chevrolet injured two of its passengers. Medical personnel transported both of them to the Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center for treatment.

Meanwhile, the driver of the Chevrolet was not injured in the incident.
