Karen Longoria Dies in Longview Pedestrian Accident on Cotton Street

 
LONGVIEW, TX (October 18, 2022)Karen Longoria was killed after a car hit her on East Cotton Street on Tuesday, October 4.

The Longview Police Department responded to the accident around 4:50 a.m. on the 2400 block of East Cotton Street.

Initial reports revealed that a pedestrian in a motorized wheelchair – Longoria of Longview – was traveling west when she failed to yield the right of way to the vehicle, causing it to hit her.

Longoria succumbed to her injuries and died at the scene, police said.

The driver did not flee and cooperated with the investigation. However, an investigation is ongoing.
