Karelys Sola Identified in Fatal Car and Semi-Truck Accident in Killeen

 
KILLEEN, TX (May 22, 2024) – The Killeen Police Department identified 30-year-old Karelys Almeda Sola who died in an accident in the 12300 block of Highway 195 on May 6.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash happened at approximately 5:50 AM. Based on a report, Sola was driving a black Nissan sedan northbound in the inside lane of the highway before the crash.
 
At the same time, a semi-truck pulling a trailer was preparing to turn left on the highway from the yield sign at the intersection between the northbound and southbound lanes. The truck was not moving when the Nissan then hit the back-left of its trailer.
 
As a result, Sola suffered grave injuries in the incident. Emergency crews transported her to the hospital, where she later died.
 
The semi-truck driver was not hurt in the incident.
 
This crash remains under investigation, and no further information is available.
