Driver Kalia Emani Bess Killed, Another Driver Injured after Fresno Car Crash

 
FRESNO, CA (October 11, 2022)Kalia Emani Bess was killed while another person was injured after a head-on crash on Highway 41 on September 15.

According to the California Highway Patrol, they received a report of a three-vehicle crash after 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.

The accident occurred on Highway 41 near Tesoro Viejo Boulevard. A northbound Dodge pickup was attempting to pass traffic when it hit a Toyota Corolla, which was in the same lane.

The Toyota lost control, drove into the southbound lane, and crashed into a BMW.

CHP reported that 23-year-old Bess from Fresno was in the Toyota Corolla at the time of the crash. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the BMW sustained major injuries and was transported to hospital via airlift.

The driver of the pickup did not sustain injuries, police say.

Authorities will continue to investigate this case. It is still unknown if drugs and alcohol played a role in the crash.
