LYNNWOOD, WA (October 23, 2024) – Authorities identified 29-year-old Kaitlin Wester who died in a pedestrian accident on Highway 99 on September 29.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened at Shelby Road around 6:00 AM. Based on a report, Wester was walking south in the left lane of Highway 99 at the time of the incident.
 
Due to unknown reasons, a 45-year-old Everett woman traveling south in a Mazda CX-5 on Highway 99 hit her.
 
As a result, Wester suffered grave injuries and died at the scene.
 
The Mazda driver was not hurt in the incident.
