Juvenile Struck and Injured by Vehicle on Prater Way in Sparks

 
SPARKS, NV (March 21, 2024) – Officials confirmed that a juvenile suffered injuries in a pedestrian accident on Prater Way on March 12.
 
According to the Nevada State Police, the collision happened at McCarran Boulevard. Based on a report, the juvenile was crossing the street in a marked crosswalk.
 
At the same time, a driver was traveling west on Prater Way and making a left turn on McCarran Boulevard. Due to unknown reasons, the driver hit the victim while the crosswalk had the crossing flashers on.
 
As a result, the juvenile was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
 
The driver stayed on scene and is being cited with failure to yield.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
