Junior Angiano Fatally Injured in Semi-Truck Crash in Sunnyside

 
SUNNYSIDE, WA (November 2, 2023) — One person identified as 25-year-old Junior Angiano died in a semi-truck crash on Tuesday, October 24.
 
According to Yakima County Sheriffs, they received reports of the crash on Van Belle Road and Bethany Road shortly after 1:30 p.m.
 
YSO, Sunnyside Fire Department, Sunnyside Police, and Lower Valley Fire responded to the crash site.
 
Witnesses of the incident said a Honda Accord driven by Angiano moved east on Van Belle Road. Then it failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection with Bethany Road. After that, it struck a flatbed trailer pulled by a semi-truck that traveled south.
 
Responding units arrived at the scene. Paramedics then pronounced Angiano dead from injuries sustained in the accident.
 
The driver of the semi-truck was not hurt.
 
Authorities do not suspect impairment as a factor in the collision. The YSO traffic unit continues to investigate the crash.
