Juliane Herlihy Killed in Boulder Bicycle Crash on Highway 36

 
BOULDER, CO (September 26, 2024) — 36-year-old Juliane Herlihy died following a bicycle accident on Monday, September 16.
 
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the accident occurred at about 1:15 p.m. on Highway 36 near the intersection with Broadway Street, north of Boulder.
 
CSP said the Herlihy rode a bicycle southbound on Highway 36. Then the driver of the pickup truck, a 2001 Chevy 3500, also moved southbound. The passenger side mirror of the pickup struck the cyclist.
 
Herlihy sustained fatal injuries in the accident and died.
 
Troopers said the driver of the pickup truck remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
 
As of writing, there were charges filed in connection with the crash.
