Julian Jennings Dies after Tucson Pedestrian Accident

 
TUCSON, AZ (January 31, 2024) — A 15-year-old Mountain View High student identified as Julian Jennings died in a pedestrian accident on Friday, January 26.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the crash took place on 10 Freeway near Ina Road around 10:30 p.m.
 
DPS said the driver of a vehicle traveled westbound on 10 Freeway. The driver said they saw a pedestrian running across the interstate. Then the driver swerved right. Yet, the vehicle still clipped one person and struck another.
 
The teen hit by the vehicle was Jennings. Reports said he died due to sustained injuries during the crash. A family friend created a GoFundMe page to help his family with the funeral expenses.
 
DPS said that the 17-year-old that the vehicle clipped sustained a broken leg. Meanwhile, the third juvenile, who did not cross the road, was not hurt.
 
Mountain View High confirmed that two of the pedestrians were students at the school.
 
The crash is the 11th fatal pedestrian accident in Tucson this 2024.
