Juan Loredo and 2-Month-Old Girl Die in Harris County Hit-and-Run

 
HARRIS COUNTY, TX (September 5, 2023) – The Harris County Sheriff’s Office identified 31-year-old Juan Loredo who died in a hit-and-run on Aldine Mail Route Road that also killed a baby on August 21.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Airline Road around 11:50 PM. Based on a report, Loredo was driving a Ram 1500 westbound on the road prior to the crash.
 
At the same time, 30-year-old Jose Antonio Vazquez-Gonzalez was driving a Chevrolet Silverado northbound through the intersection at a high rate of speed. As Loredo was turning northbound at a red light, the front of the Chevrolet struck the left side of the Ram, ejecting Loredo. Vazquez-Gonzalez then left the scene.
 
As a result, Loredo sustained grave injuries and died in the incident. Crews also took a 2-month girl to the hospital, where she later died.
 
Crews transported a 28-year-old female passenger, a 10-year-old boy, and a 7-year-old boy for treatment of injuries.
 
Officers charged Vazquez-Gonzalez with Fail to Stop and Render Aid – Death and Fail to Stop and Render Aid – Serious Bodily Injury.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
