Jovonnie Castillo Struck and Killed by Hit-and-Run Vehicle in Pasadena

 
PASADENA, TX (February 7, 2023) – Pasadena police identified 24-year-old Jovonnie Castillo as the victim who died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Watters Road on February 4.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Fairmont Parkway at approximately 5:30 PM. Based on a report, Castillo was celebrating his son’s 6th birthday prior to the accident.
 
Castillo walked to a nearby ATM and was on his way home when the accident happened. In front of his apartment, a GMC truck hit Castillo and then drove away.
 
As a result, Castillo died at the scene.
 
Officers described the vehicle as a late-model GMC Sierra with oversized towing mirrors and chrome trim. It appeared to have a lift kit installed, large tires with dark-colored rims, a bed cover, and no front license plate.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation.
