Jossy Pinto Killed, Alleged Shoplifter Wanted after Hit-and-Run Accident

 
PARKER, CO (August 25, 2023) — A pedestrian identified as 49-year-old Jossy Pint died after a hit-and-run crash on Monday, August 21.
 
According to the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, the crash took place at Parker Road and Lincoln Avenue at around 8:30 p.m.
 
The incident began when a Parker Police officer tried to pull over a Chevrolet Monte Carlo on Parker Road. The driver of that vehicle was allegedly involved in a shoplifting incident at a Walmart.
 
However, the driver did not stop for the police.
 
Parker dispatch subsequently received calls about a crash at Parker and Lincoln. According to Parker police, the same suspect involved in the shoplifting reportedly hit Pint, who was on the crosswalk at Parker Road.
 
Paramedics transported Pint to a local hospital where he died of sustained injuries in the crash.
 
Now, police continue to search for a white 2005 Chevrolet Monte Carlo with a Colorado license plate: AWR-S39. The vehicle had a cracked windshield and the driver’s side airbag was possibly deployed.
 
Authorities described the wanted driver as a Black man. He wore an oversized black T-shirt and black or gray basketball shorts.
