Joshua Johnson Dead and Steven Castrejon Arrested after Dallas Car Accident

 
DALLAS, TX (October 4, 2024) — 22-year-old Joshua Simeon Johnson died in a car accident on Friday, September 27.
 
According to the Dallas Police, the accident occurred at around 6:30 p.m. on Bruton Road near Pleasant Drive.
 
Dallas Police said Johnson drove east on Bruton Road. Then he tried to turn left onto the 2100 block of Pleasant Drive. At the same time, 25-year-old Steven Castrejon drove a pickup truck at a high rate of speed. Then he struck the passenger’s side of Johnson’s vehicle.
 
Dallas Fire Rescue arrived at the scene and transported Johnson to a hospital, where he died. They also brought a 25-year-old passenger in the truck to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
 
Meanwhile, authorities arrested Castrejon. Online jail records show that he faces one count each of manslaughter and aggravated assault. He remained jailed Saturday morning, according to jail records.
