Joshua Allen Charged with DUI in Wrong-Way Crash in Buckeye

 
BUCKEYE, AZ (June 23, 2023) – Officers arrested Joshua Allen after a wrong-way car crash on Highway 85 on June 8.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened near milepost 141. Based on a report, Allen was going southbound in the northbound lanes of the highway prior to the crash.
 
Subsequently, his vehicle crashed into a DPS vehicle and a Buckeye Police car.
 
As a result, Allen and a DPS trooper sustained injuries in the incident. Emergency crews transported the victims to the hospital for treatment.
 
Officials confirmed that impairment was a factor in the wrong-way crash. They charged Allen with felony charges of aggravated DUI, aggravated assault and endangerment.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
