Joseph Gonzales, Two More Harmed After Crash on Highway 50
EL DORADO COUNTY, CA (February 17, 2025) – Joseph Gonzales and two others were injured in a crash on Highway 50 on Saturday, February 8.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened west of Slippery Ford Road.
Initial investigation reported that Gonzales parked his Nissan Rogue on the shoulder of Highway 50 to adjust his tire chains. At the same time, 18-year-old Roland Pierce was traveling at a high rate of speed on the snowy roads on his Subaru Impreza.

Medics took 54-year-old Gonzales to a local hospital with major injuries.
Two passengers of the Nissan were also treated for minor injuries.
