Bicyclist Josef Binter Dies after Crashing into SUV in Murrieta

 
MURRIETA, CA (April 27, 2023) – The Murrieta Police Department identified 73-year-old Josef Binter as the victim who died in a crash on Whitewood Road on April 25.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Poinsettia Street around 7:50 PM. Based on a report, Binter was riding his bike northbound on Whitewood at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, he failed to see a Chevrolet SUV stopped at the curbside and slammed into its rear.
 
As a result, Binter suffered grave injuries and died in the incident.
 
The 37-year-old female driver of the Chevy and her children were not hurt.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
