PHOENIX, AZ (May 9, 2024) — A 50-year-old man identified as Jose Sanchez Rodriguez died in a pedestrian accident on Tuesday, April 30.
 
According to the Phoenix Police, the accident took place on 33rd Street and McDowell Road at around 12:05 a.m.
 
A report said Sanchez Rodriguez walked northbound and tried to cross McDowell Road. Then the accident happened.
 
When officers arrived, they found Sanchez Rodriguez with serious injuries. Emergency responders brought him to the hospital where he later died.
 
The driver involved in the crash stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
 
Police do not believe intoxication contributed as a factor in the accident.
